To capture this image, I had to rise at 4 am, drive to the east side of Oahu, hike Olomana Ridge in the dark, and endure the strong winds encountered at the summit. Despite the overcast morning, I persevered, fearing my efforts would be in vain. Then, miraculously, the sky in the distance cleared, illuminating the Mānana Island Seabird Sanctuary beautifully, a sight I had longed to capture.
