Central Library Exhibition July 2024
History:
On December 8th, 2022, I received an email informing me that my application for an exhibition at the Central Library had been approved. This was another big achievement and a signal that I was heading in the right direction. A few days later, I attended a meeting to discuss the details. During the meeting, I learned that there were five different spots in the library I could use for the exhibition. While I initially wanted the central location, the waiting list for that space was 2.5 years. I preferred to have the exhibition sooner, so I was offered an additional spot.
Starting July 1st, 2024, I will officially launch my first exhibition at the Calgary Central Library. This is a very exciting moment for me, and I hope you will enjoy what I have prepared for you!
Exhibition Concept
Since discovering the artist within myself, I have been honing my other senses. I came up with the idea of incorporating more sensory experiences into my exhibition. I reached out to artist and music creator Jarod Judge for assistance. He specializes in music and offered to create three-minute binaural music pieces for each image. During the music creation process, Jerod asked about the feelings and thoughts I associated with each image. Based on my stories and his own feelings, he created a set of five tracks, each related to a different image.
The Collection
For this exhibition, I selected five images that represent Alberta to me.
1. "Colour of Lava"
Alberta is known for the Chinook wind, which brings warm temperatures on cold winter days. It also amazes Calgarians with the most vibrant, colorful sunsets and sunrises. I took this image in 2019, and it remains one of the three most spectacular sunsets I've witnessed since moving to Calgary in 2013.

2. "A Glimpse of Rural Alberta"
Agriculture is a significant part of the local culture, highlighted by the Calgary Stampede, the biggest rodeo held in July. I think most Calgarians will feel a warm sense of home when they look at this image. Happy Stampede, everyone!

3. "Moraine's Sunrise Beauty"
This image represents the crown jewel of Alberta's landscape. Moraine Lake is a masterpiece created by Mother Nature. Over the past 10 years, I have visited this location multiple times, and this is one of my all-time favorite images. I recorded multiple sounds near the lake, which Jerod included in the music. How cool is that!

174 Hz is a powerful grounding frequency with the ability to positively effect the physical body.

4. "Enchanting Northern Lights"
I was extremely excited to witness and capture the Northern Lights in March 2023. This was the biggest Aurora I've seen in my life and a reward for years of chasing it and often failing. This image is another testament to Alberta's stunning beauty.

5. "One of Billions"
I photographed the Milky Way in 2018 during my first well-planned photography expedition. This experience confirmed my decision to follow the path I had chosen. There was a bit of magic that night, and I'm happy I could capture it in this image. I want this image to send a message to those struggling with mental health issues: the healing power of nature is just around the corner. Spending time in nature regularly allows your brain to regenerate and rest.

528 Hz is said to be one of the most potent solfeggio frequencies. This is a very important frequency when pairing audio with spiritual development. This frequency is known as "The Miracle Tone". It is the frequency of transformation.
528 Hz will stimulate your imagination. It will connect you with your intentions. This frequency is also shown to reduce cortisol levels. Putting you in a state of serenity and relaxation.

Jarod Judge
Is a composer born and raised in Calgary Alberta. Since 2016 he has been producing and releasing music under the artist name Joc Bodhi. He creates spiritually attuned music using a variety of instrumentation, stemming from a wealth of influence. His most recent project has been the composition of meditation therapy created around fundamental solfeggio frequencies. Jarod is creating serene landscapes of sound to target specific nerve centers in the body. This work clears the body and mind of negative energy while targeting deep set mental and physical trauma people are carrying day to day. Jarod's work has been heavily inspired by nature and the landscapes he grew up around. The mountains, meadows and flowing rivers of the rockies make their way into each of his compositions.
