Moraine Lake, the crown jewel of the Canadian Rockies, is a major draw for countless visitors to Banff National Park every year. Living in Calgary has afforded me the privilege of frequent visits, enabling me to witness numerous breathtaking sunrises and sunsets at this stunning location. Personally, I have a preference for photographing it at sunrise due to the sun's positioning and the ethereal alpenglow effect it brings.
Typically, I would conclude my photography session shortly after the sun has risen, but on this occasion, I chose to linger a bit longer. My photography style is evolving, and this image is a testament to that transformation. The clear sky and perfect lighting conditions came together to allow me to capture a moment that possesses the ability to bring a smile to the viewer's face and evoke feelings of warmth, joy, and happiness. I believe that, on that morning, I created something more profound than just another Moraine Lake photograph.
