A truly special image for me, captured at Bow Lake in Banff National Park. I'm a frequent visitor to Bow, usually during the warmer months when the lake is unfrozen. However, this time, I arrived around 10 am when the sun was already up—an uncommon occurrence for my photography, as I usually shoot just before or after sunrise or sunset.
Despite the cloudy day, the lighting was optimal. The highlight was a yellow branch/tree in the middle of the lake, illuminated by the sun's rays, adding a unique element to the image. Despite returning to Bow many times afterward, I've never encountered a similar scene again.
