Cityscape is an image I captured a few years ago while exploring new ways to photograph downtown Calgary. Around that time, I had just bought my first drone and started flying around the city, looking for unique compositions and fresh perspectives.
 
This photograph was taken in early June, when Calgary is at the peak of its bloom. The conditions came together perfectly that day. The light was soft and balanced, and everything in the frame aligned in a way that felt natural and complete.
 
I’ve tried to recreate this shot a few times since then, returning to the same location and perspective, but I was never able to experience those exact conditions again. It reminded me how special and fleeting certain moments are, and how sometimes everything simply comes together once.
