The story behind this image is quite interesting. We were hanging out on the northwest part of the island. The weather was a bit crappy, with some rain and strong wind, so we considered driving back to Honolulu, hoping for better weather there on this part of Oahu. Since life is about taking risks, we decided to give it a try and stay on this side. We drove to the end of the road to Keawaula Beach. As soon as we arrived, I noticed the waves were pretty massive, and the sun started to peek through the clouds. Feeling inspired, I immediately pulled out my camera. I was captivated by all the layers, and I thought it would be cool to freeze the waves a bit to create a smooth-looking image. After taking multiple shots with a 6 stop ND filter, this one ended up being my favorite.
