I went on this camping trip with one photograph in mind. My plan was to capture this scenic road during sunset, but nature had other plans. The light never developed the way I had hoped and I returned to camp without the image I had envisioned.
 
The next morning, I decided to try again.
 
At first, it looked like I might leave disappointed for a second time. The sky was covered with thick clouds, barely allowing any light through. Still, I set up my camera and waited.
Then, everything changed.
 
For a brief moment, the sky opened and the rising sun illuminated the clouds with some of the most spectacular colours I have ever witnessed. What looked like another unsuccessful attempt became an unforgettable experience and one of my favourite photographs.
 
This image reminds me that we can't control every outcome. Sometimes all we can do is show up, stay patient and believe that something beautiful might happen. Not every attempt will reward us, but every attempt is part of the journey.
 
And sometimes, the moments we have to wait for are the ones we appreciate the most.
