This experience was a powerful reminder of just how unpredictable mountain weather can be. We gathered at Lake Louise Ski Resort, where we caught the shuttle bus to the magical Moraine Lake. From the start, the atmosphere was incredible—full of laughter, good vibes, and a sense of adventure in the air.
When we arrived at Moraine Lake, the weather was perfect. The sun was shining, and the lake and surrounding peaks looked absolutely breathtaking. We made our way to the viewpoint, snapped some photos, and took time to soak in the moment.
After that, we set off on a hike to Sentinel Pass. The trail is fairly easy at first, winding through a beautiful forest. But just as I was starting to relax, I noticed something unexpected—it had started to snow.
Just minutes earlier, the sun was out with only a few clouds in the sky… and suddenly, we were in a snowfall. As we continued past the tree line, the snow intensified—it turned into a full-on snowstorm! Luckily, we were well-prepared for all types of weather, but I have to admit, this caught even me off guard.
We made it to one of my favorite secret spots. The weather kept shifting—calm one moment, then wild the next. We stayed by the lake for about half an hour, enjoying the surreal, snow-dusted landscape. But as the cold began to creep in, we decided it was time to head back to the bus.
It was a fun and unforgettable day in the mountains, one that reminded us all how quickly things can change in nature.
A huge thank you to my group for being so awesome—I truly enjoyed the experience with you all and I hope to see you again soon!
