On the second day, we started early, planning to photograph the sunrise from Makapuʻu Lookout. We arrived a few minutes before sunrise, climbed a small hill, and enjoyed the magical morning light over the Oahu mountains and coast. From there, we drove to the nearest beach and snapped a few shots.
After a relaxing and inspiring morning, we drove across the island to Mākua Beach. Before getting there, we decided to make a pit stop at Tantalus Lookout in Puu Ualakaa State Park to see Honolulu from above.
After this little detour, we continued our drive to Mākua Beach, spending the afternoon chilling on the beach and playing in the waves, while also capturing some pictures and videos.
During one of my long exposure shots, a wave smashed into my camera, causing it to malfunction. I've used this camera for many years, and I knew this was a sign to get a new one. Luckily, it started working again just before sunset, allowing me to capture some photos at Pōkaʻī Bay Beach Park!
Overall, it was an amazing day filled with incredible moments. We had time to slow down, relax, and capture those experiences, creating unique images along the way.
